A bit about me...

Born and bred in Gisborne, I came to Wellington in 1972 and never left!

My wife bought me my first beer starter kit 15 years ago and so began my interest and passion for home brewing. After 30 years in the telecommunications industry, I decided to make a lifestyle change and bought the Great Expectations store in 2006.

I love dark beers, either a bock, porter or stout although these days I enjoy a good Tennessee Bourbon & Coke Zero. I'm a keen video/photographer always up for the odd roadtrip around our beautiful country and also enjoy the sport of geocaching when I get the time.

Happy brewing,

Phil
